CFC Candlewood Winter Academy - January 2012
by posted 12/14/2011

This program is open to boys and girls who play U8/U9 or U10 and provides a chance to receive professional training in addition to any soccer teams or practices they currently attend.

The high standards set by our professional staff provides the opportunities for our young players to develop through education, encouragement, repetition of touches and technique and creating a positive environment for players to express themselves.

The benefits of using Futsal are that with the heavier ball it doesnt bounce so players are encouraged to dribble and use moves to beat players and make quick and effective decisions in possession.

CSA Mission and CFC
by posted 03/22/2010

CSA Objectives, Mission, and New Chapter in its Evolution
The mission of the CSA is to develop physically and mentally great athletes and enhance the communities in which we operate through soccer. The vision of the CSA is to prepare players how to play soccer both technically and tactically, in a safe and constructive environment while participating against the best competition in Connecticut through premier league competition and outside of Connecticut through tournaments and friendlies.
Candlewood Soccer Academy's mission is also to prepare players to be successful scholar-athletes in high school and college through education on lifestyle choices and the college recruiting process. CSA will be recognized as a community leader for player participation in club sponsored youth development programs.

The rapid and continued growth of CSA and success of its teams demands a strengthening of its infrastructure to effectively respond to the needs of its players and the towns.

CFC will bring to CSA an enhanced academy program, a more sophisticated and development player management system, and the opportunity for the areas most advanced athletes to participate on the regional and national levels.

This is the right thing for CSA at the right time.

All teams and try-out results from June stand.  CSA teams under the CFC umbrella remain intact for the coming season.
